Books for Africa

July 2006: A delegation from Better World Books and Books For Africa visit representatives of the Poverty Eradication network (PEN) at the distribution center in Dodoma, Tanzania.

Books For Africa, the largest shipper of donated textbooks to the African continent, has shipped more than 15 million primary, secondary, post-secondary and community library books to 28 countries since 1988.

Better World Books began working with Books For Africa in 2003. Since then, we have become their largest single source of funding, providing over $1.3 million, and their largest source of post-secondary books, placing more than 500,000 books directly in the hands of African students.
